Biography Information

Dr. Ibrahim Alarifi received his Ph.D. in 2017 from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Wichita State University. After having the lecturer experience, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Majmaah University in 2012. I received his tenure and promotion to be an Associate Professor in 2018. He is currently working in the same department as an Associate Professor, ME Head of Dept from 2017 to current., Director of Engineering & Applied Sciences Research Center from 2019 to current, ME Quality Coordinator from 2017 to current, and Dean for Academic Affairs of Common First Year at Majmaah University from 2018 to current. Throughout his research experience, he has published 137 journal papers and 18 conference proceedings, edited 2 books, authored 4 book chapters and 1 laboratory manual, received 6 funded proposals, 6 patents, and 4 honors/awards, presented 10 presentations, chaired many international conferences, and reviewed several manuscripts in international journals and conference proceedings and 1 MS and 10 BS students have already graduated under his supervision and started working in different locations worldwide. According to the Web of Science, his scholarly activities (with h-Index 32 and i10-index 50) have been cited more than 3207 times and recognized by Stanford University’s list (published by Elsevier) of the World’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in Single Year Citation Impact 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Biography Information

Dr. Asmatulu joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University (WSU) as an assistant professor in 2006, became an associate professor in 2012, and became a full professor in 2017 in the same department. Before this position at WSU, he had postdoc and R&D experiences at Virginia Tech, the University of Connecticut, and Yale University. He works with five PhD, seven MS, and four BS students in the same department. He has graduated over 140 MS and PhD students, received over $5M in internal and external grants, and published more than 500 technical articles with his students and collaborators in his field. To date, his scholarly activities have been cited more than 5,720 times (with an h-index of 40 and an i10-index of 131) according to Google Scholar.

Biography Information

Dr. Zafar A. Khan is affiliated with the University of Huddersfield. Dr. Khan has more than 5 years of experience of working the energy sector in hydro-electric power plants from 2008 to 2014. He has been involved in project development, construction and operation stages of different power plants. In 2014, he joined academia as assistant professor and received his PhD degree from in Electrical Engineering from the  Department of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Birmingham. Subsequently received his post-doctoral research experience from the Aston University for an innovate UK funded project. Later he proceeded to join University of Derby where he joined the team at Institute for Innovation in Sustainable Engineering (IISE) to deliver ERDF funded projects De-Carbonise and  Innovate 4 Rail. He has published more than 50 journal articles, book chapter and numerous conference articles. He has edited special issues for impact factor journals and is serving as member of advisory board for many journals. Dr. Khan’s research interests include Sustainable Energy, Renewable Energy, Smart Grids, Power System Modelling, Solar PV and Wind generation.

Biography Information

Dr. Rana Alabdan received her Ph.D. in 2017 from the College of Information Systems and Communication at Robert Morris University. She joined College of Computer and Information Science in 2013 as a first Saudi lecturer in the college and information systems department. She was promoted as an Assistant Professor in 2017 then an Associate Professor in 2021. She served as Vice Dean of Students Affairs from 2018-2020. Throughout her research experience, she has published 46 journal papers and 3 conference proceedings, published one book, received 8 funded proposals, 3 honors/awards, presented 9 presentations. She served as editor in board and reviewer in well known journals and conferences, as well as a reviewer in multiple hackathons. Rana was a supervisor for 12 BSc. And 3 MSc as well.

Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa, received the B.Eng (Mechanical Engineering) in the year 2010, M.Tech (Computational Analysis in Mechanical Sciences) in the year 2013, Ph.D (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Science) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India in the year 2018 and Post Doctorate from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand, in the year 2019. He is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and an Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (India). He is an Associate Editor of Heliyon Elsevier (Materials Science) and Frontier Materials Journals. Also acting as a Board Member of various international journals in the fields of materials science and composites. He is a reviewer for more than 150 International Journals (for Nature, Elsevier, Springer, Sage, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, American Society for Testing and Materials, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, IOP, Hindawi, NC State University USA, ASM International, Emerald Group, Bentham Science Publishers, Universiti Putra, Malaysia), also a reviewer for book proposals, and international conferences. Dr. Alghamdi is an Associate professor and former chair, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the College of Engineering, Majmaah University Saudi Arabia from Sep 2018 to Sep 2020. He received his dual B.S. degree (with high honors) in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan, USA, in 2010 and 2012 respectively, and an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan, USA. Dr. Hani Alanazi joined Majmaah University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering in 2019. He received his BSc in Civil Engineering in 2009 from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, his MSc in Structures and Materials in 2015 from North Dakota State University, United States, and his Ph.D. in Geotechnical and Materials Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019, United State. He received his tenure and promotion to be an Associate Professor in 2023. He is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Majmaah University. Dr. Hani Alanazi is an energetic researcher and educator and has published in the last five years more than 40 articles in high-ranked journals. His research interests include multiscale analysis of construction materials, multiscale concrete behaviors, geopolymer concrete, internal curing, high-performance concrete, concrete with recycled materials, and physical and chemical processes involved in durability issues.

 Dr. Youssef O. Al-Ghamdi received the bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Umm AL-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia in 2008. Received his master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia in 2012, and the PhD. degree in Organic Chemistry (Polymers), King Abdualaziz University, Jeddah Saudi Arabia in 2018. He joined Department of Chemistry, College of Science, Majmaah University, I promotion to be an Associate Professor in 2023. He is currently working in the same department as an Associate Professor, Dr. Alghamdi Vice-Dean for educational affairs and development, College of Science, Majmaah University from 2023 to current, Head of the Basic Science Research Center from 2022 to current, Head Department of Chemistry from 2019 to 2023, Dr. Alghamdi heading several units such as Planning and Development, and Unit of Scientific Affairs.  He is a member of College Council, College of Science, Majmaah University and member of Labs and Facilities. Dr. Youssef O. Al-Ghamdi is involved in teaching various courses in Chemistry, to BS and he has published 40 publications, edited 2 books, authored 2 book chapters.
